Leah Magner has always been a musician. She started singing in her family’s church in preschool, soon accompanying herself on the guitar, then composing short pieces on the piano. For more than two decades, she has been playing around the Triangle area, solo and in bands, such as Shotgun Romance and The Lulus, releasing a solo record, Blue Skies, in 2006.

After a several year hiatus, she found she had much more to say. Filled with heartbreak and longing, each song takes the listener behind the scenes to reveal a personal side to the character’s story.

The nine tracks include accompaniments by Jon and FJ and a few special guests, including Pattie Hopkins Kinlaw, of Hank Pattie and the Current, on violin.
